The front rotors feel warped. I looked at the TSX forums and people seemed to like these options over OEM. They said OEM rotors warp faster once they are resurfaced. These have better performance in every way over the OEM according to the date and what people say. I will go to my friend’s shop, the truck is there too so I can talk to them about that as well. I have no idea if they shipped the hub cores to the guy so I can get my disk brake conversion kit.

If I sold the Z I could put a slant 6 and an A727 tranny in the truck to make it a lot easier to live with and still have money left over to save. I think I am one vehicle too many without a garage and the 2020 resources. I have a lot to think about, Bring a Trailer is selling them for some good cash. But I doubt I would ever get one this nice again without paying up front or restoring one like we already did. I guess I could live with cruising in a convertible truck. 2020 has really messed with my head, the schedule change, the free time, the worrying during all the free time, never ends! I might wait til spring to decide, people coming out of winter looking for a sports car, I doubt early 240 Zs will fall out of favor by then.

Your car would fetch some high dollars for sure I’d bet $ 40-50k. I don’t think I could let mine go even for fat cash. It’s not something that’s replaceable.

I really liked the set of Akebono ProACT pads I had on my Forester. I’m disappointed that they don’t make the front pads for the Crosstrek at this point (though I’m still far away from needing brake pads).

Those EBC BSD rotors look interesting - I was unaware of them until just now .

Well it’s hard to figure out the sales sometimes , BaT has a sale history and I put 240Z in. I see some in good original shape go for a lot less than that. One was brown so maybe the orange and having the original color, engine and even license plates would spark something. I have no idea why some are getting more money that others. Mine hasn’t been hurt, it can always go back to stock, but it’s set up for driving fun. I’m not sure I could turn down 40-50k at this point, we lose our insurance in December and I have to finish the truck because it can’t just sit there undrivable forever at his shop , the brakes are all off and we have to get the lights all changed and blinkers working etc.. Maybe you can see why some cars go for 20k more? I guess some have been worked on down to the nuts and bolts, I have left whatever I could alone.

I just skimmed the TSX forums and they came up a lot, so did Hawk stuff but these were rated about the same and cheaper and on sale on Prime day. I saved about $40 on this stuff and my friend’s shop will do the work. I hate rotor warp vibration.

Those EBC’s are great and made in the UK with some type of superior metallurgy . I have an 08 TSX and after the OEMs warped they were  turned under warranty. Once the warranty ended they were vibrating again and I up graded to these + Greenstuff. Worked great. I just replaced them after about 80k miles as they were worn to the grooves.

I bought the car with 40k miles or so, it’s at 60k now. I was told the OEM rotors would warp again if they were resurfaced. They said these would do a lot better.

Saved this and will likely come back to it when I need brakes myself (which might be the first thing I do next year. I have a couple millimeters about the 3mm danger zone, it should get me through this year with how little I’ve been driving) . If they work for you, they work for me!

Well I will swap them tomorrow at the shop, the TSX forums like them so I expect they will be nice. I will test them out on the way home and see how they are on a curvy road.
